I had someone send this to me today and it is very true. This is how I feel.
A smart woman said, "If you know someone who has lost a child and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remember that they lived, and that's a great, great gift." -Elizabeth Edwards

As with many of your followers, we do not know each other. However, we both live in the KC area. :) I really can't tell you how I came across your blog to begin with. I know that you are invloved with SIDS organizations and would just like you let you know that if you ever need fundraiser items I would love to donate. I make custom hair accessories. Your story, as long as others that have lost a child, touches my heart. I have a friend that lost a child 5 years ago after just a few short days and she still struggles. I pray that things get easier for you and your familiy. I know there will always be hard days but know that Macie is always close.
ReplyDeleteHey Erin,
ReplyDeleteWhere in the KC area do you live? :)
Yes I am involved with the SIDS organization and we are actually doing a Golf Tournament in August in Macie's name and all proceeds will go to SIDS. We are looking for donations. My e-mail address is lisa.mieras.barton@gmail.com can you e-mail me directly? I tried to but for some reason it wouldn't let me e-mail you.
The website for the Golf Tournament is www.macieelizabethgolf.com if you would like to look at it.
Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers!
Take Care,
Lisa
