Spring for SIDS

Hey Friends!!

Kellie and I have been working on this event for quite some time now. We are excited to finally be able to share it with each of you!

Kellie is Maddie's mommy. Maddie got her Angel Wings on February 17th, just a few short weeks after Macie. Maddie passed away from SIDS. We don't have the autopsy results back yet, but we believe Macie also passed away from SIDS.

Spring-for-SIDS is a national event sponsored by the American SIDS Institute to raise awareness about SIDS and to raise funds for SIDS research. We, Kellie and I, are using our blogs and other outlets to spread awareness across the country. We hope you join us in our fight against Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

How do you join in the fight you ask? Well each person who makes a $5 donation will receive a sticker and a SIDS information card. Most of our blogger friends do not live close to us so unfortunately you may not receive a sticker, but you can still donate!!

Also on April 29, 2011 National Spring for SIDS Day we are asking everyone who donates to wear pink and a bow in honor of Macie and Maddie.

Donate here
Please make sure when you donate you put in the team name "Team M"

Thank You and Take Care Friends!

  2. Hello Lisa.

You don't know me, but I came across your blog from Kellie. I'm glad you two are doing the Spring for SIDS.

Your precious Macie is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story about your precious little angel <3

  3. Macie is absolutely gorgeous. I'll be passing along your info to my dear friends who have newborns. Thank you Lisa for being so selfless and transparent. As a mother, there are just... no words... to express the sadness I feel for you- I will lift you and your family in prayer.

  4. Lisa,
I'm so sorry for everything you've been through. Your Baby Macie is absolutely beautiful. Just know you are not walking this road alone. I am with you. My daughter Maddie Grace passed away on January the 8th of this year to SIDS. She was only 2 days old. My heart still breaks to type that. I hate that you know the pain. I will be praying for you. Feel free to contact me if you need anything.
    Love, Natalie

  5. Hi Lisa! I found your blog through Kellie and it instantly made me cry. I have an 8 month old baby girl named Macie and we all call her "angel baby". Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how strong you are and that I'm glad you and Kellie have each other (even if I wish it were under different circumstances). My family and I will be donating to Maddie and her family and to my Macie to yours.

    Take care-
